Eugenia (Gina) Christakos, BS Pharmacy
Manager, Outpatient Pharmacy Services
Learning Experience: Leadership & Management
Gina earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies from the University of Connecticut in 1990. She spent more than 25 years in community pharmacy leadership with CVS Pharmacy before joining St. Vincent's Medical Center as a per diem outpatient pharmacist in 2013. In 2019, she became Manager of Outpatient Pharmacy Services and served as Residency Program Director through 2022. Gina continues to serve as a preceptor for Leadership and Management and Medical Mission learning experiences. She also oversees the HOPE Charitable Pharmacy of Greater Bridgeport, which provides pharmacy services to uninsured and underserved members of the community. Outside of work, Gina enjoys traveling to visit her children, walking along the Cape Cod canal with her dog Leo, and reading at the beach.

Daniela Markelon, PharmD
Residency Program Director of Community-Based PGY-1
Learning Experience: Orientation, Transitions of Care 1
Daniela earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in 1997. During pharmacy school, she completed internships at Boston Children's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, gaining valuable experience in hospital pharmacy practice. After graduation, she spent 18 years with CVS/Caremark, including 15 years as Pharmacy Manager at the CVS Pharmacy in Ridgefield, Connecticut. In 2012, she joined St. Vincent's Outpatient Pharmacy when it first opened and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Since the inception of the residency program, Daniela has served as a preceptor for staffing and Transitions of Care (TOC1 and TOC2), mentoring pharmacy residents throughout their training. This year, she was excited to take on the role of Residency Program Director (RPD), furthering her passion for resident education and professional development. Outside of work, Daniela enjoys visiting her son at the University of South Carolina and her daughter at Cornell University.

Antonietta (Ann) Fitzgerald, RPh, BCMTMS
PGY- 1 Community-Based Residency Program Director
Learning Experience: Orientation
Ann received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies degree from University of Connecticut. Her areas of interest include patient counseling, transitions of care, precepting and medication therapy management. In her free time, Ann loves to cook, garden, play tennis, and plan family vacations.

Katherine (Katie) Marti, PharmD, BCPS
Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialist – Endocrinology
Learning Experience: Ambulatory Care - Endocrinology
Katie received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut and completed a PGY1 residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Following her residency, she joined Hartford Hospital as an inpatient clinical pharmacist covering critical care and general medicine units. She then transitioned to her current role as an ambulatory care pharmacy specialist in endocrinology. Her clinical interests include diabetes and chronic disease state management. In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Michaella received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy in 2025. After graduation, she completed the PGY-1 Community-Based program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Outpatient pharmacy. She continued on in a new role as the transition of care clinical pharmacist specialist at St. Vincent’s. Her areas of interest include transitions of care and chronic disease state management, specifically diabetes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, and playing with her dog, Frankie!

Jonathan Blais, PharmD

Learning Experience: Anticoagulation Clinic
Dr. Jonathan Blais received his PharmD degree from the University of Connecticut in 2022. He then completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Community Pharmacy residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. Dr. Blais currently runs the anticoagulation management service clinic at MidState Medical Center and is the preceptor for the anticoagulation learning experience. In his free time Jonathan enjoys playing volleyball, disc golf, and also spends his time trying to recreate his favorite food, a Chicago style deep dish pizza.

Christina Polomoff, PharmD, BCACP, BCGP, FASCP
Population Health Clinical Pharmacist
Learning Experience: Population Health
Christina received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a minor in business from the University of Connecticut. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and a PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy and geriatric pharmacy.
She is a Population Health Clinical Pharmacist at Hartford HealthCare Integrated Care Partners and an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her work focuses on improving pharmacy quality measures and providing medication management services for older adults. Dr. Polomoff is President of the Connecticut Pharmacists Association for the 2025–2026 term. She previously served as Director-at-Large for the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), chaired ASCP committees, and served as President of the ASCP Connecticut Chapter. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling - especially to Walt Disney World - as well as cooking and baking.

Kayla Gibson, PharmD, PhC, BCPS
Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialist II
Learning Experience: Ambulatory Care Cardiometabolic Clinic
Kayla received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy in 2020. During school, she worked as an intern at an independent pharmacy. After graduation, she worked inpatient and at the anticoagulation clinic at Christus St. Vincent in Santa Fe, NM, where she earned her PhC and BCPS licensure. When she relocated across the country, she began as the cardiology pharmacist at Hartford Healthcare Middlesex Cardiology Associates, where she manages the specialty medication for over 500 patients. In her free time, she enjoys watching scary movies with her husband and sewing. Fun fact: she made her own wedding dress!

Colleen Teevan, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, FCCM

Dr. Colleen Teevan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut in 2010. She went on to complete her PGY1 Residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Indiana and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Midwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Teevan is currently the Pharmacy Clinical Program Manager for Hartford Healthcare. Prior to taking on this role, she was an ICU pharmacist within Hartford Healthcare and started the PGY1 residency program at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. Dr. Teevan also serves on the Board of the CT Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and is actively involved in the Society of Critical Care Medicine and ASHP.

Brianna Arpie-Otfinoski, PharmD

Brianna earned her Bachelor of Science from Sacred Heart University and her PharmD from Touro College of Pharmacy in New York City in 2016. She brings years of experience in community pharmacy, having worked as both a staff pharmacist and pharmacy manager with Walgreens, as well as several years as a pharmacist in Connecticut’s medical cannabis program. Her experience also includes inpatient pharmacy practice. In 2026, Brianna joined St. Vincent’s Outpatient Pharmacy, where she continues to enjoy her passion for community pharmacy. She especially values building lasting relationships with patients and providing education to help them better understand and manage their medications. Outside of pharmacy, Brianna enjoys gardening, watching baseball, and spending time with her husband and son.

Amanda Volpe, Pharm.D., BCPS

Learning Experience: Medication Safety
Dr. Amanda Volpe received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies degree from St. John’s University in 1996 and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Medical University of South Carolina in 1999. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in the Bronx, New York in 2000 and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Volpe has served in various clinical and leadership roles throughout her career, and founded the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center where she served as Program Director until 2021. Her current practice is System Medication Safety Officer for Hartford HealthCare.
